Are you Swaggin'?

Have you heard of Swagbucks? Neither had I until I came acrossed it on another couponing blog. Basically it's a free site. You use it as a search engine (just like google only I downloaded the toolbar so I don't have to type in an address) and you randomly win "Swagbucks." You can cash in these "Swagbucks" for rewards. 45 Swagbucks=$5 Amazon Gift Card! I signed up yesterday afternoon and I already have 5 Swagbucks and haven't really used the toolbar that much. So, if you want to persue this avenue, PLEASE click on the banner on THIS blog. Then when you win, I'll win too (supposedly). It really hasn't been any hassle so far for me.

Decent Meijer Week

I made it to Meijers tonight and it was a REAL stress free trip. I've read that Meijers is now excepting more than one Mealbox coupon per order for like items and so tonight I managed to get ALL my stuff in one transaction which I find WAY easier. I'm sure I'll go back for more free water and cheap Crystal Light. The deal is that you use the $1/1 or $2/2 and the $1/1 Mealbox to get the Crystal Light for $.88 each and then you get a free 24 pack of Meijer water! Some have reported that if you buy 4 Crystal Lights in one order that you get a $2.00 OYNO but I wasn't that lucky. The Chex Mix was also free with printable coupons (which I did only get to get 2 of since I only wanted to do 1 transaction and only 2 coupons double. The Ritz deal was pretty sweet to. Use $1/1 Ritz printable and $1/1 Meijer Mealbox AND the coupon for a free Wheat Thin if you buy a Ritz cracker and get BOTH the Ritz and the Wheat Thins for $.50! I had also found a tearpad in the center aisle of Meijers a couple weeks ago for $1/1 Ritz and picked up three coupons then so I'm set! I can do this deal one more time too!
Spent $28.00
Saved $68.00

Meijer deals this week

I tried to upload pictures of my trip(s) but for some reason I can't upload tonight so I'm just going to give you a list of what I found that was a good deal. (Not NEARLY as many things as the past couple weeks)

Vitamin Water=$1.00
-.55/1 printable coupon (I'm not sure where I printed this but it was a PDF so I printed 25 and got them all FREE! (but it took A LOT (12) of transactions and a lot of 3 trips but this price drop has been going on for awhile so I just stuck 2 in every transaction I did for the past 2 weeks.)

Chi Chi's Salsa=$1.00
-.55/1 coupon from the 5/17 Smartsource
=FREE!

Airwick I-Motion=$2.99
-$4.00 coupon from 5/17 Smartsource (and older insert and printables too!)
=Free (I had to get a raincheck for this)

I also took advantage of a deal (3 times) for Nabisco 100 calorie packs..but that ended today.
It ended up that I was able to get a box of them for .19 each.

AWESOME Kroger Pull Ups deal

Get 2 Packs of Huggies Pull-ups for 99 cents!
Here is the breakdown:
2 Pull-ups 8.99 each = 17.98
minus $3 Kroger instant savings =14.98
minus(2) $5/1 home mailer coupons = 4.98
minus (2) $2/1 Shortcuts coupons = .98

AWESOME DEAL!!
Or if you need diapers:
2 diapers 8.99 each = 17.98
minus $3 Kroger instant savings = 14.98
minus (2) $3/1 home mailer coupons = 8.98
minus (2) $1.50/1 Shortcuts coupons = 5.98 or 2.99 each

Of course I don't' have 2 $5.00 mailer coupons so my breakdown isn't as good. I also haven't been keeping up to date on loading my shortcut coupons on my Kroger card (which I HIGHLY recommend because sometimes they have the same coupon at different times with different expiration dates and they BOTH would come off during the same purchase) Anyways, my breakdown will be like this.

2 Pull Ups=$17.98
-$3.00 Kroger Instant Savings
-$5.00 mailer coupon
-$2.00 mailer coupon
-$2.00 Shortcuts coupon
=$5.98 for two packs. Not too bad!

If you haven't made it to Meijer this week...GO NOW!

The water was free, as well as the Country Crock, A1 (actually I got free meet because of the A1 too!),and frozen veggies. AND I got to use my rainchecks from last week and got more Mac and Cheese and got a $2.00 OYNO!An AWESOME stockpile week. I spent about $30.00 on all of this and saved $140!

This cracked me up!!

My shopping day starts off like any other
Till the cashiers see me and say "Oh, Brother"

I scan the aisles looking for deals
With the manager sometimes hot on my heels

It took hours of work to sort and clip
Only to have my teenager say "Mom, your not hip!

I look in vain ~ Where is that Grey Poupon?
I've got an awesome dollar off coupon!

I hit every store in town, looking for that rare find,
Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind!

I get to the checkout with my bulging coupon binder
The other shoppers are surely thinking~ I'm not getting behind 'er!

After hours of shopping, I make it home with my stash
But, hey, it's all good~~I still got most 'my cash!

I'm looking over my receipts~can't believe my good luck
Til I realize~ Oh no, I forgot to use my Extra Care Buck!

$4 Glade Fragrance Coupon

This is clearly STRAIGHT for Cincy Cents but for those of you that don't look there...print these coupons!

Glade has released a new $4 Fragrance Collection Coupon here. This coupon can be printed a total of two times per computer. You'll want to print these quickly, as they disappeared quickly the last time they were available. Once you print these coupons, you have two opportunities to pick these up for FREE:

Walgreens:
- Buy the small Glade Soy Candle priced at $5.99 each
- Use $4/1 printable coupon
- Use $2/1 Walgreens EasySaver Coupon from the April EasySaver booklet
Final price - Free after coupons (remember to hand the cashier your manufacturer's coupons BEFORE the EasySaver coupon in order to prevent any beeps). If you shop at Walgreens today, don't forget to use the 15% off coupon here for even greater savings (overage!).

Target:
- Purchase (2) of the small Glade Soy Candles priced at $5.79 each
- Use (2) $4/1 printable coupons
- Receive a $5 Target gift card when you buy (2) Glade Fragrance Collection Candles
Final price - Free plus overage after coupons and Target gift card. Plus, with the Target gift card deals, you can roll the gift card to repeat the same deal. So, if you have access to more than one computer, you have the potential to snag quite a few free candles.

Other (Better) Websites

Since I'm doing a horrible job keeping this blog up to date I wanted to make sure not to leave anyone high and dry that might want to be doing more. I added a link to one of my favorite blogs (Cincy Cents). She has coupon match ups, freebies, and all kinds of great stuff. That's the site where I got the idea for Week In Review.

But the MOMMA of ALL coupon sites is www.afullcup.com. ANYTHING you want to know about couponing can be found there.

I'm not saying that I'm not going to keep updating TTSAB (Trying to Save a Buck) because as soon as I find a free second I will do so. But for some reason...I'm running shorter on time these days than normal. (Not that I ever have an ABUNDANCE of free time.)

I haven't made a REAL grocery run for over 2 weeks. My stockpile is dwindling.

Check out A Full Cup. It's what I read daily. (okay...it's what I read after Rhylee goes to bed if I'm not too tired myself)

Confessions

I shopped without coupons. I ran into Walmart and picked up about 5 things...didn't look for coupons (they were actually in Rhyan's truck and he was at work) I spent WAAAAY too much money and felt horrible.

There will be no week in review for last week because I went over budget with extra spending for the Easter basket and didn't even take pictures of every grocery purchase.

I haven't even got my lists together for this week because things have been too hectic.

I've neglected this blog...as soon as my kid is feeling better and off my lap for more than 3 minutes...I'll get back on things. That's a promise.

Caregivers Marketplace

I haven't done this myself yet, but I'm researching. If you go to www.caregiversmarketplace.com you will find more information on a rebate program. Basically you print the form and send the receipts for stuff that you bought for free or almost free and get even more money for eligible items. I know Huggies diapers are eligible.

Here's the printable form
http://www.caregiversmarketplace.com/CashBackForm/CashBackForm09.pdf
(I really inserted that on here so I could have easy access myself.)

The Beginning of the Week in Review

CVS
Total OOP=$7.16
But I screwed up and got the wrong "free" Easter grass I think. I've gotta go back and figure out what I did or return the ones I got. The baskets were free after ECBs so I just got those to donate. The diaper deal worked nicely with those Internet print coupons. I found ONE more wipe coupon but if you had 5 wipe coupons it would make the wipes free PLUS you could get $10 in ECBs!
Meijer
Total OOP=$14.65

The $1 off your next order helped me A LOT from the Excedrin deal (I had to split this stuff up into 5 transactions so I could use 1 on each order). The Frenchs mustard is .40 each but I got a $1 CAT off my next order. The Kraft Salad dressing was only .16 (after using $1.50 coupon) and then on the display in the middle aisle there is a $1.00 off produce coupon (although my cashier took off the FULL amount of my broccoli and carrots, which saved me $5.00!!!)

BUT GOT $4.00 on my next shopping order!!!
Meijer was running this super crazy deal with Excedrin. It was on sale for .99 cents and when you checked out it was printing ANOTHER coupon for $1.00 Excedrin (meaning another box free) PLUS it printed a $1.00 off your next grocery or gas purchase for each box you bought! So, I started out with 2-$2.00 printable coupons (which they took the FULL $4.00 off instead of just the $1.98 that they should have taken off since two boxes only cost $1.98) and then just kept going back and getting another box and "rolling" this deal. I went back tonight to do it again (since the U-scan checkout man finally shut me down earlier in the week) and I used my last coupon and nothing new printed so it looks like the deal is over. BUT I scored 9 boxes of free Excedrin (which I don't use but I am donating to people at school) AND $9.00 off my next grocery or gas purchase!!!

Meijer
Total OOP=.05
(I used one of my $1.00 coupons and did separate transactions to get all of the Excedrin)
TOTAL WEEKLY SPENDING
(i think I'm done for the week)

I'm way under budget, however I really didn't get that much stuff. I mostly used from my stockpile because I just didn't feel like shopping this week.

A Not So Great Sale Week In Review

CVS
Total OOP=$4.05
Got $8.50 ECBs
I wasn't going to do the Mountain Dew/Pepsi deal..but then I figured out that the Iced Tea purchases at the gas station started up again since Rhyan ran out of pop at work..so I KNOW it will save me money in the long run. (Oh, BTW, Rhyan said, "BUT I HAVE NO COMMENT ON IF RYAN FINE IS BUYING THINGS AT THE GAS STATION! and that doesn't mean that he is!") Of course, I made this transaction and then out comes a $5/15 coupon on my reciept. But with all my ECBs and $5 more dollars off I should be able to come up with a pretty good deal to use that coupon.
Meijer
Total OOP=$24.74
The deals are slim this week at Meijer. They have some Yoplait yogurt on sale but I have to wait till I can access another computer before I can print that coupon since I've already printed my limit. The Airwick I-motion air fresheners came out to .79 after coupon and the other Airwick came to .99 after coupon. Since the deals were slim and my stockpile of other stuff should get me through (maybe for 3 years) I took advantage of some meat sales. I was able to get 2 meals worth of pork chops for about $5 and a "Gourmet Meatloaf" that was on Managers Markdown for $3.83. The hot dogs and Eckrich sausage were both on sale too...but no coupons. If you get the Classico spag. sauce make sure you print your Internet coupon AND your mealbox. Oh..hmm..I guess my little busy body pulled the grapes out of this picture before I got it taken. They have grapes for .99 cents a lbs too! :)

Meijer Gas Station
Total OOP=$0.00
The Mentos gum is on sale for .89 at the gas station (but not in stores). If you use the $1 off coupon it will be free. Unfortunately I didn't have the nicest cashier and after I convinced him to adjust the coupon down to .89 cents since the register wasn't taking it at $1.00, he ended up throwing bags and acting very unpleasant. Eh, ohwell, I scored 12 packs of gum and walked out without paying a penny! :)
(do you see the little hand that is just waiting to knock all these things over? They make WONDERFUL stacking blocks too! :))

TOTAL SPENT=$28.79
**I still need to stop at Krogers to get ground chuck ($1.49 lbs this week) a cantaloupe (.99) and 10 lbs bag of potatoes ($2.99). Plus my CVS trip to spend my $5/15. And one more trip to Meijers too to do the Ritz cracker deal (buy 2 crackers 2/$5 get a free milk. I have a coupon for a free box of Ritz crackers from the Kraft instant win game back around Superbowl time..so I can get 2 boxes and a milk for $2.50) We were already set for milk for this week and it would have expired before we got to it...and to get the Yoplait yogurt. So I'll go back Saturday to do the rest of my shopping.

CVS

I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! If you remember back a couple weeks when I got some Crest Pro Health rebates at Kroger and sent them in for a free Crest Pro Health Toothpaste not because I needed MORE toothpaste but because I thought maybe CVS would run a ECB deal for this stuff and it would be a money maker. Well...this week it's free with ECBs...but OF COURSE my rebate hasn't came back yet! ARG! If I get this stuff today and my rebate comes later in the week...I might cry. (no seriously...that is $3.50!!!)

So right now my list looks like this (maybe...I'm still not sure about the Pepsi)
Crest ProHealth-$3.49
Schick Razor-$8.99
Pepsi-3/$11
Total=$24.50
-$1 Toothpaste coupon
-$4 Razor coupon
-$3.66 for flavored diet pepsi (if they have this kind. It's a printable coupon)

One Last "Week In Review" (for this week)

Target
Total OOP=$0.00
(oh..how I love $0.00 out of pocket!)

It wasn't really supposed to be a trip to actually find bargains. We just went with Mamaw because she was looking for Easter baskets...but I couldn't resist doing some pre-planning. They were running a "Buy 5 qualifying Quaker products and get a $5.00 gift card." The granola bars were on sale for $2 (then used a $1/2 coupon). The Hello Kitty Bandaids come out for free if you use the $1 Bandaid coupon from the Sunday inserts. They can be found in the travel section. The Dove hairspray was free too (travel size). I printed 2 Internet coupons (but now can't find what link I used.) The Cheetos are $1.29 (found them at the snack/food court place) and if you go to http://www.target.com/ and at the VERY bottom of the website it says "Grocery Coupons" there is a $1.00 off coupon. They only had one bag left or I would have got more for only 29 cents a bag. You can print Target coupons right from their kiosk in the store (where you would print a registry). There's a button to go straight to their website. It saves paper and ink on your home computer. Huggies wipes are only $5.99 still and they had a TON on the shelf so I used up all my $5.00 coupons. If anyone wants my CVS raincheck that I have for 6 more let me know and you can have it. I'm officially out of that AWESOME coupon.

**I should note that I had a $11.00 merchandise credit from a Halloween costume I returned (2 YEARS AGO!) and I kept forgetting to use it.

I did my Quaker transaction first and got my $5.00 gift card so I could apply that $5.00 and my remaining $4.50 on my next transaction and I STILL walked out with $2.50 left on my gift card! :)

Only 1 coupon insert in paper this week

There will only be one coupon insert in your papers this week (Smartsource). To see what the coupon schedule is you can go to http://www.grocerycouponguide.com/articles/2009-coupon-insert-schedule/. This will tell you how many inserts you should have. Although, last week there was a P&G that wasn't scheduled! What an awesome surprise!

*Note there will be a week in April with NO inserts. Watch not to waste your money on the paper that week. (well..I guess unless you really would like to stay up to date with current events...but who has time to do that when your couponing!?!? ;))

Lysol Rebate

I don't normally do rebates because I find them to hard to understand but you could make some SERIOUS "jack" off this Lysol deal at Meijers if you added free money to already almost free products!!

There’s a $3 mail in rebate and a $5 mail in rebate.

http://www.lysol.com/products/productpromotions/pedia-rewards-08.html – purchase two different Lysol products between 1/1/08 to 3/31/09 and take your child to the Pediatrician. In order to get the $5 rebate you have to send in a receipt from taking your child to the pediatrician.
To get the $3 mail in rebate:
-Buy three (3) different LYSOL products between 3/15/09 and 5/15/09.
-Mail this completed form with all qualifying UPC information listed on requested spaces on the form.
-Mail the original dated store cash register receipt with your product purchases and prices circled.
-Register receipt must be dated between 3/15/09 and 5/15/09.
-LYSOL Neutra Air products not included in offer.
*$3.00 Mail-In Rebate valid 3/15/09 - 5/15/09. Open to legal U.S. residents excluding RI. Void where prohibited.
you can do this rebate and the $5 rebate as long as the items are purchased on two different receipts because you have to mail in the original receipts.

Thanks, Sarah!

My Sunday in Review

One of my favorite coupon sites posts her "Week in Review." I find it EXTREMELY motivating and inspiring to look at someone else's groceries each week and see how little she spent. So, I'm doing this post for a couple reasons. First, my goal for this blog is to try to save other people money, so if this helps someone to see what I did...great. If you find it annoying and strange to look at my groceries...skip this post and ignore it. Second, I've budgeted $60 a week for grocery and drugstore shopping. If I post this (and my other weekly shopping) then I'll feel more accountable to sticking to my budget. So, the way I see it, it's win-win. Others might think it's strange. I don't want ANYONE to think it's my way of "showing off" or bragging. I've been thinking about doing this type of a post ever since I saw other bloggers doing this but fretted that it would look conceited of me...but keeping true to myself and shrugging off what others may think...I'm posting. I'm not saying I'm the best at this or that you need to run out and get what I get. My INTENTION is that someone may look at a picture and it would spark them to say "OH! I have a coupon for that!" and next time they're in that store they can pick up that item. Oh, I'm also posting this today because I find when I look at other blogs "Week in Review" sometimes I get ticked off that I didn't find one of the deals pictured and it's too late because the sale has ended.

Meijer
Total Spent OOP=$8.13

Meijer is having an AWESOME sale with thier buy 10 items get the 11th free. But, I REALLY took advantage of their 1/2 price Lysol. Make sure you print the Meijer Mealbox coupon at www.meijermealbox before you go. ALSO REMEMBER that you can only use 1 of the same mealbox coupons in each transaction so do separate orders. Also don't forget that Meijer will only double two of the same coupons up to $1. So, for those Warm Delights and toothpaste, you can only buy 2 of them in one transaction to get them for free. (any question, like always, call, email, or comment.)

Kroger
Total Spent OOP=$3.80

Kroger is also having a "Mega Sale" where you buy 10 participating items and get $5 off instantly. I got 10 items and then ran out of time to put together another 10. Oh well, I had told myself that I was going to sit Krogers out for awhile and stick to only Meijer but couldn't resist all this stuff for under $4.

CVS
Total Spent OOP=$10.97
Got $14 ECBs for next week!

I was able to snag three Gentle Care wipes for 99 cents (after using the $5 off printable coupon)! I could have got my OOP lower if I would have put together more transactions but I didn't have the time and thought I had more left on my gift card than I really did. The Irish Spring, toothpaste, is free if you have ECBs to roll this week. The Dry Idea deodorant is a money maker. Print your coupon at www.coupons.com. It's $2.99 but use a $2 printable coupon and you pay 99 cents and get $2 back in ECBs.

Last stop,
Walgreens
TOTAL SPENT OOP=$2.66
I'm done with Walgreens. I find their sales too hard to understand and their Register Rewards can't be used to pay for tax and you can only use one at at time. So I'll shop there when I can get something for next to nothing, but I'm not going to put it on my weekly list of places to go.

I had to use up some Register Rewards that I got two weeks ago because I REFUSE to let free money get pitched.

The Walgreens diapers on are sale and with the pharmacy coupon they are 2/ $5. I scored some Pull-Ups and diapers and free candy. (I had to get the gum to use my RRs...again...it was one of those Walgreens scams to get more money out of me I think)

GRAND TOTAL FOR THE DAY
$25.56

Meijer Saturday Sale

Meijer has Huggies (jumbo pks. diapers/Pull-Ups) on their Super Saturday Sale this week for $8.99.

from www.coupons.com and/or www.redplum.com

Free PC Tune Up

I had to stop into Staples this weekend and when I was checking out they offered me a "Free PC Tune Up." This is happening THIS Wednesday and Thursday. It is by appointment only. They said that it would be okay if I dropped off my tower on my way to school (they open at 8:00) and pick it up after school.

This was at the Sidney Staples but I'm not sure if Troy is offering this as well. It might be worth a call. They're checking for viruses, taking off the side panel and blowing out the dust, and running a program to clear off the unneeded junk to speed up performance. It is a $29.99 value.

CVS

I guess I was spoiled by Walgreens this week. I didn't put much work into CVS

I had to get a prescription filled and I had a coupon for a $25 gift card with a new prescription. WOOWHOO! So I'll have NO out of pocket expense at CVS for awhile! :)

Today this is how I "rolled" (well..I actually lost a couple ECBs)

4/$13 Coke products
Crest Pro Health-$2.99
-$1 Crest coupon=(more free toothpaste)
-$7.00 ECBs
=$9.67 (but NO OOP for me)
GOT $5 ECBs

**Side notes
-I picked up quite a few coupons at Kroger from a tearpad for a free Crest Pro Health toothpaste if you buy a toothpaste. If you end up doing the toothpaste deal listed above, comment, or email me and I'll get you one of the coupons to be mailed in. I wasn't even going to waste my stamp on more free toothpaste but I'm SURE that Walgreens are CVS will have ECBs or RR on these another time and then it would be a great money maker coupon to have.

-Herbel Essence is also on sale at CVS this week and works nicely with the coupon for $3/2 and the $1 ECB. I think total price would be around 40 cents. I didn't do this deal after getting 12 FREE bottles of Garnier at Walgreens, I couldn't even bring myself to spend another 40 cents on shampoo.

Cottonelle-too good to be true

Well..it looks like Kroger is not going to carry Cottonelle anymore. If you have any coupons left you might want to get there quick before it's gone. (If it's not already)

Walgreens

Garnier Fructis hair care - $2.99
- $2/1 from the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog
- $1/1 from the 1/4/09 or the 2/8/09 Red Plum insert
- Final price - Free

Glade Sense 'N Spray Kit - $7.99
- $4/1 from the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog
- $4/1 from the 2/8/09 Smart Source insert
- Final price - Free

Galde Plugins Scented Oil Lasting Impressions - $7.99
- $4/1 from the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog
- $3/1 from the 2/8/09 Smart Source insert
- Final price - $0.99

Colgate Total Advanced 4 oz. paste - $3.49
- $2.50/1 from the Walgreens EasySaver Catalog
- $1.50/1 from the March 2009 All You Magazine
- $1/1 printable coupon here
- Final price - Free

Plus the Huggies deal. I'm running short on time. I can't explain that right now. Basically, print the coupons.com high value coupons and you'll get pretty cheap diapers after Register Rewards.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Huggies Diaper Coupons have been RESET!!!

You can print two more copies of each of those high value Huggies coupons! This will work nice with the CVS deal starting on April 5th.

Minus RR's from above = $0

That makes the diapers only $1.98 a pack!!

Coupon.com

With the start of a new month comes a whole new set of printable coupons, compliments of Coupons.com.

Here are my favorite picks for the month:
$0.55/1 Cheerios
$0.55/1 Reese's Puffs
$0.55/1 Lucky Charms
$0.75/1 Big G Cereals
$0.35/1 Totino's pizza rolls

$0.60/1 Chex Mix
$0.55/1 Betty Crocker frosting

Of course, there are over 80 coupons available to print off. You can find them all at the Coupons.com website here. Be sure to print your favorites early on in the month. These coupons do have a print limit, and once they reach that max, they are no longer available to print.

If you DON'T have a child in diapers but would like to print out those two Huggies coupons for me. I would LOOOOOVE that! I've printed my limit of 2 on my computer.

CVS Razor Deal

Gillette Fusion Power Phenom Double Play Shave Set - 1 razor, 1 cartridge, 1 battery & 1 shave gel upc 047400304727

Gillette Fusion Power Phenom Game Force College Tour - 1 razor, 1 cartridge, 1 battery, 1 shave gel & 1 Gillette 2in1 Body Wash upc 047400301009

Both are ringing up at the sale price of $7.99 and printing the $4ECB. Use the $4 Fusion qs to get them free!

Man..I found this AFTER I used all my Fusion coupons!!!

Walgreens...my new best friend

Walgreens is AWESOME! I'm tired so I can't make this too long but I did want to get out there about the diaper deal.

Their generic brand diapers are on sale 2/$9. AND...if you go the the pharmacy and say "I just signed up for the W Card online and I was told I could get a coupon book at the pharmacy." They will give you a book (it has a picture of the front of a Walgreens store on the front). That has a $2 coupon in it for the diapers.

Transaction #1
Get ONE pack (I was stupid and didn't think about this until I read it online...I bought 2 packs and WASTED $2.00!!! ARG!)
Total=$4.50
-$2.00
TOTAL OOP=$2.50!!!

HERE'S THE BEST PART. YOU KEEP THE COUPON! DON'T LET THEM TAKE IT! (I suggest NOT tearing it out. Just holding it out to scan STILL in the book. My cashier started to look at it like she was going to take it so I just said "These are reusable and good through June, I was told." Then she agreed that they were.

Take that out to your car and repeat the same thing buying another pack!! (I'm not sure that you should do two transaction right in a row with the same exact coupon. It's something with their system I think.)

THE OTHER GREAT THING ABOUT WALGREENS IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE A CARD TO SCAN...SO THERE IS NO LIMITS ON ANYTHING!!! You could do this deal as many times as you wanted all week long!!

I HIGHLY recommend doing the Blink Eye drops (They are a $2.01 Money Maker) and the Colgate Max Toothpaste (rings up $3.29 -.75 coupon=$2.54 but you get $3.50 in Register Rewards! $1 Money Maker)

Walgreen Register Rewards

Alright..I KNOOOOW I said I was drawing the line and NOT starting to go to Walgreens too. But, I guess there is going to be some Huggies deal next week. So I checked out what I could do this week that might get me some "Register Rewards" (same thing as ECBs from CVS only different name) so I could save more money on diapers next week.

So, this is what I'm doing

Transaction #1
Colgate-$3.49 (GET $3.49 in register rewards)
Vaseline Lotion-$2.69 (Get $2 in register rewards)
=(about) $6.20
-.75/1 Colgate (2/22 Smartsource)
-$1.50 (1/18 Redplum)
TOTAL OOP=$4.00
GET $5.50 in RR (register rewards)

Transaction #2
Blink Eye Drops-$7.99 (GET $7.99 in Register rewards)
-$2.00 coupon (3/1 Redplum)
-$5.50 RR
TOTAL OOP=.50
GET $7.99 for Huggies deal next week

So, for about $4.50 this week I have $7.99 next week! :)

My CVS Rollin' Week of 3/1

This is my game plan for this week.

Transaction #1
Carnation Instant Breakfast-$4.99
Slimshots Energy Drink-$4.99
2-Act Total Care-$1.98

Total=(about $12.00)
-$1.00 Carnation Instant Breakfast coupon (from Jan. All You mag)
-$12.00 ECBs (this will pay for the tax too)
TOTAL OOP=$0.00
Get $12.00 ECBS back for transaction #2
I'm really only doing this transaction because I can literally "roll" my last week's ECBs onto this week and not lose a single one of them. I'll donate the items. (actually Rhyan's considering feeding the instant breakfast to his sale pigs instead of buying EXPENSIVE Ensure drinks)

Transaction #2
8 Reese Whips bars (I'm buying these to send with Rhyan to work, SO HE STOPS MAKING STOPS AT THE GAS STATIONS!!!) $4.00
Gillette Razor $7.99
6x8 Photo Book-$9.99
Total=$22.00
-$1/2 Reese Whips (1/4 Smartsource) x 4
-$4 Gillette Razor coupon
-$3 Photo Book Coupon (from reciept coupon)
-$$12.00 ECBs (extra will pay for tax)
Total $0.00 OOP
GET $4.00 ECBS for next week

I'm losing ECBs this week...but with $0.00 OOP TWICE this week..I'll accept that. (although next week I'm sure I'll be ticked off at myself. I'll just pull out my free photo book and get over it! :))

More free toothpaste. CVS has Aquafresh on sale for 88 cents. You can print two of each coupon. There's a $1 and .75 coupons. So, I guess the 75 cent coupon wouldn't make it FREE at CVS but it would at Kroger because they double. But, no ECBs on this at CVS.

50 Free Prints

I just went to CVS.com to see about making a photo book since I have a 3 dollar off coupon about to expire and saw that if you register with your Extra Care Card you can get 50 free prints.

Heres the link http://cvs.pnimedia.com/account/register.aspx

RedPlum

It looks like that RedPlum coupon insert wasn't in this weeks Dayton Daily News or Troy Sunday Paper. I did get it in my Saturday Piqua paper. (Pat, this might be why you said it didn't seem like you got very many coupons...because you only got the SmartSource instead of both.)

I know that RedPlum has decided to stop inserting in A LOT of papers but some are still carrying them. I'm HOPING that Piqua is one of those papers. I looked on their website..but it's too hard to tell and what I saw made it look like Dayton was still getting RedPlum.

I've read that RedPlum will start sending out mailers instead of newspaper inserts to try to reach more families. HOWEVER, this will cut down on being able to get multiple copies (ugh) unless you have family that can give you what they don't want. So, this will be my last post, and I will be picking up your RedPlums every Sunday evening! :) (just kidding!)

Free Kashi Dinner

Free Frozen dinner. I don't know if they're good...but it's free so I'll post it. I've read that Target and Walmart carry these. I don't know about Meijer and Kroger.

Kashi : Get a free frozen entrée

This is how I'm rollin' at CVS this week...

I have $10.00 ECBs from the Neutrgena deal last week.
A quick lesson..for those of you that want to try to figure this out better.
So..I' tried to find a combination of products that came to $10.00 (without GOING UNDER..so I don't waste ECBS..but not TOO much ABOVE so I don't have to spend REAL MONEY!) Those products NEED to GIVE me ECBs back though..so have some more to "roll."

Transaction #1
2 NyQuil-$9.98
1 Gamer Razor-$7.99
=(about $18.00)
-2 1.50/1 NyQuil coupons from PG insert
-4.00 off Gamer coupon
=$11.00
-$10 ECBS
Total OOP =$1.00
Get $9.00 ECBs

Transaction #2
I plan on checking out the Revlon makeup.
I'll use the $2 off coupon for makeup and $1 off coupons for tools.
I'm thinking if I can use around $5 or $6 dollars in coupons and my 9 ECBs. I should be able to get my OOP to be around $5.00 and get $10.00 ECBs back.

**EDITED...I can't find any Revlon coupons like everyone on the coupon blogs are talking about. Do any of you have some? (not that I want yours..I'm just curious if I'm just missing them when I look through my inserts/clipped coupons.

Meijer List

This is my list so far. I know I don't have the coupon matchups on there but if anyone is wondering where to find one of the listed items coupons please email, call, or comment and I'll find it for you!

ArtsCow.com

I set up my ArtsCow account and made my first photo book. When I went to check out it AUTOMATICALLY credited my account for a free photo book but I was going to have to pay shipping ($7.95 or something close to that) Since I hadn't used the $6.99 offer with free shipping, I went ahead and entered that coupon code instead but I still have the credit available to make another book for $7.95. I don't know if that is a great deal or not because I haven't priced around. HOWEVER, I do know that these make AWESOME gifts. Sarah made one for my grandma and she LOVED it! The hype was going around the big town of Casstown after my grandma took it to church with her and showed it off! :)

SERIOUSLY..I'll NEVER buy TP AGAIN!

Cottonelle is going out of their way to show their customer appreciation this year. If you make a pledge to be kind to your behind here, (which is VERY odd if you ask me..but whatever..I'll do it to get free TP!) you'll be able to print off a $1/1 Cottonelle coupon (which of course, equals free toilet paper at Kroger). You can print this coupon off a total of two times if you hit your back button on your browser after the first one prints. (I always have to do this multiple times but it eventually prints again.)

Walgreens

I don't personally do Walgreens because I have to draw the line somewhere (and I've drawn that line at Meijers and CVS (with a quick stop at Kroger if I have time before school on my way by). However, I found this on another website and if anyone else does Walgreens....this is pretty easy to follow (if you are organized enough to do rebates...which I'm NOT!)

More Free Kroger Toilet Paper

I found two more sites to print Cottonelle toilet paper coupons. I'm able to print 2 more coupons from each site. Making 4 MORE packs of free toilet paper! If you have access to multiple computer..you'll have even MORE.

www.coolsavings.com (I didn't log in...just went over the side and clicked on "more coupons. Some people are saying that they have UNLIMITED printing from this site..but I don't.)

=$1.78 for TWO BOTTLES (if I have the prices correct..I KNOW it was under a dollar a bottle)

Meijers

This week Meijers has some REALLY good sales. I just did my grocery shopping and had a WONDERFUL time. I think this was in large part because I did it while Rhylee napped at home. :) My seperation anxiety and couponing don't go well together. Therefore, I normally end up wanting to cry. Last week, when I left CVS and I realized that I had forgot to give the cashier a $1.00 coupon AND I had screwed up another deal because I was too busy chasing Rhylee around the store making her put back one of those stupid candy baby bottle things...I told myself that I would dedicate ONE nap a weekend to shopping solo. It was tough..but I survived. (and she didn't even know I left considering I was back before she woke up) :)

Anyways...the deals

This week free at Meijers....
Chex Mix $1.00
-There's two coupons out there
50 cents off that will double to $1.00 and get it FREE
OR
go to www.bettycrocker.com and print one (actually you're allowed to print two) there to get it FREE

Betty Crocker Icing
50 cent off coupon from inserts=FREE (once it doubles)
AND

I might post more later after I look through my deals again.

DONATE

I know that a lot of times you might see things posted on here that are free but you don't normally use...or you don't have the room to store them. If you don't already have a family member or food bank that you already contribute to, I'll be HAPPY to take WHATEVER you get free but don't want. I will donate it with my items to the Bethany Center in Piqua. (Actually I give it Chastity (classroom assistant) and she takes it there for me.

THANK YOU!

CVS FREES (are very few this week!)

Two weeks ago in your SmartSource coupon insert (1/25) you should have got a $2/2 ($2 off two boxes) of Wheat Thins, Ritz Crackers, and Triscuits.

The small packages of these will be $5/5 with your CVS card this week. Making them free! I'm SURE you really don't have to buy 5 of them to make them free.

Colgate toothpaste is BOG1F (Buy one get one free) this week. The price is $1.99. In last week's (2/1) Smartsource coupon insert there was $1.00 off. Use TWO of those coupons and get TWO tubes of toothpaste FREE!

**I was going to do a "START YOUR ECBs rolling" post this week for those of you that want to get started at CVS but there's NOTHING worth ANYTHING getting ECBs this week! I'll try for next week!"**

A few more reasons to make a Kroger trip this week...

First, 1/2 gallon of milk is $1.00!!!

Then the next two take some explaining. Kroger has this AWESOME (but becoming controversial program, where you register your Kroger Plus card on various websites and load coupons STRAIGHT to your Kroger Plus card and then you can use those coupons AND manufacturer coupons (coupons that are Internet printed or Sunday newspaper coupons). Some say that Kroger doesn't like customers doing both on one product. Until they change it, I'm doing it. I don't think it's unethical.

The websites for your Kroger Card coupons are..
www.shortcuts.com
www.cellfire.com
www.pgesaver.com

This week you need to go to www.shortcuts.com and load on two different coupons.

Multigrain Cheerios Sale Price $1.67
Use $.50/1 insert coupon
$.75 Shortcuts e-coupon
FREE cereal!

Dora/Diego Yoplait kids yogurt Sale Price $2
Use $1.50/1 printable coupon from www.yoplaitkids.com
$1/2 Shortcuts e-coupon (good until mid-Feb. but may not be available anymore, unless you previously loaded it to your acct. There's another yoplait coupon on shortcuts.com but I don't think it includes the Dora..but still 50 cent yogurt even WITHOUT the shortcuts coupon!)
FREE yogurt (when you buy 2)!
